Personnel Management Division

Functions:

- Providing professional advice to the Commission on service Rules and Regulation and requirement of the schemes of service;
- Briefing candidates for interviews and what is expected of them once they are offered appointment.
- Helping the Commission get access to any information necessary in taking informed decisions.

To advice the Permanent Secretary on pertinent personnel issues requiring attention by:
- Sending internal memos to him where necessary.
- Briefing him after PSC meetings to keep him abreast with the current realities
- To develop and maintain an up-to-date staff list and seniority list of the secretarial cadre.
- To handle complex personnel issues requiring urgent attention and often those not clearly covered by the GO and PSC Regulation e.g. special Leave, interdiction & suspension and attachment to projects
- To make recommendations to the PS for the promotion and posting of officers in the Secretarial cadre
- To take part in the review and promulgation of the General Orders and PSC Regulation
- To participate in the Annual Budget Exercise.
- To serve as a resource person during proficiency/efficiency courses organised for Civil Servants.
- To represent the Permanent Secretary at selection/recruitment meeting/exercise in other sectors of the Public Service.
