Human Resource Development Division


To ensure that Civil Servants receive the relevant training to enhance/improve on performance and output by:-

  • - Developing and maintaining procedures to improve training plan and policy.
  • - Identifying training needs to ensure that training is pertinent to the needs of individuals and Departments of State.
  • - Organizing and coordinating comprehensive Training Courses at GTTI and MDI and maintaining strong professional links with the institutions.
  • - Organizing training courses, seminars, workshops and conferences for Civil Service operators.
  • - Maintaining a keen interest in staff development and performance management.
  • - Giving advice on training plans within the centralized training vote inured to prioritize the training needs and make it cost-effective.
  • - Processing of scholarship applications from MDA's and ensuring that the training is relevant and justified.
  • - Representing the Permanent Secretary at training/capacity building interview/meeting within the Civil Service.
  • - Being the main point of contact for MDI, GTTI, UTG and Commonwealth Secretariat.
  • - Being the focal point for the National Governance Programme.
